Resolving Common Issues

Connection Difficulties

  • Verify your instance operational status
  • Confirm the accuracy of the external IP address
  • Check that Windows Firewall permits RDP traffic (port 3389)
  • Ensure your local network allows outbound connections to port 3389

Security Certificate Alerts

Initial connections to Windows instances typically generate certificate warnings due to self-signed certificates. This expected behavior doesn't indicate a security concern, and you may safely proceed with your connection.
